Neck sizeing .308 brass - Hornady Match Grade Dies FL

I am using this to resize the necks and bump back the shoulders on .308 brass for a Savage bolt gun. Adjust the die to give the proper head space...I bump my bolt gun necks approximately 0.001"...then drop in the appropriate bushing to size the neck and you are ready to go. Careful...if you are bumping the necks back much more than 0.001 you may bulge the cases. I have removed the expander ball for this operation and remember to lightly lube the outside of the neck and shoulder. It seems that Lapua brass will "spring back" about 0.002" therefore I find the .034 bushing results in an outside neck diameter of approximately .036. Other brass may be more/less elastic. You can now order the bushings in more sizes than were previously offered.
