Out of the box headspace gauge testing failed. both go and no-go. - Hughes Ballistics 5.56 CMV HBAR Barrel

I feel as though I am fortunate to be so meticulous about inspecting my build products before final assembly, and test fires. I have never had a barrel that wouldn't even pass the minimum headspace gauge. Of course I tried a few other bolts with the same result. For clarity I used Foster min 1.4636 and max 1.4736 gauges. Same gauges I have used for years. I will say that OP have been great about return, and exchange. Their customer service is impeccable. Hopefully emplacement barrel will not have same issue. The basis of my review, or more accurately a little advice is that if you are building your first AR platform, or have built many, spend the time, and money to buy a set of Head space GO NO-GO gauges before you ever fire a round through the barrel. In my case if I have fired a round it would not have ejected, and most likely I would have needed a cleaning rod to remove the spend cartridge.
