I have several similar lights, including a Surefire X300 and a Streamlight TLR-1 HL. This one is not as bright, but it's perfect for home defense distances where light bouncing off walls could blind you too. It's also MUCH lighter and lower profile than the other two, and while ergonomics can be personal preference, the controls on this one are well thought out. The Surefire is still my favorite, but this light is close and significantly cheaper. Money well spent.
