AMTvet's Review of JARD Desert Tech MDR / MDRX Trigger System
The number one complaint you hear from most people against bullpups is they have awful triggers and while the factory MDRX trigger is leaps and bounds ahead of the factory trigger on almost every bullpup with a few coming close this trigger is leaps and bounds ahead of them all.
I've owned high end triggers from SSA's to various drop in AR triggers so I've had my hand in them for many years now.
When you buy this trigger if that was the only thing from stopping you from full committing to bullpup's this will end that for you. I promise you it is that good just straight out of the box. The even better part is you can fine tune it with the adjustment screws.
I was absolutely floored and shocked and how much it felt like a really good AR trigger. Maybe not Geissele level on the upper end like a DMR trigger but it's knocking on the same door as an SSA at the very least. Between the features and improvements the MDRX has over other bullpup's in addition to this trigger alone you are going to have a hard time not justifying it being your new go to rifle of choice.
It really is that good, buy it you won't regret it.
As far as how the trigger itself feels you have a bit of takeup before you hit the wall. It's not a very firm wall like you may be used to with a more direct trigger but you can feel it distinctly. The break over that wall is so smooth and small if you blink you can miss it. Just breathe on the trigger when you are on that wall and it will drop the hammer.
I held out for a while on getting this thinking it wasn't going to be that much of an improvement as the stock DT trigger was acceptable in my book but man did I regret waiting as long as I did. One of the best splurge purchases I've done in recent times.
