Jard big loop lever - JARD Marlin 1895/336 Rifles Big Loop Lever Kit

I chose this big loop lever for my rifle because it offers a larger loop for my hand. The OEM Marlin lever tended to bite into my hand from the recoil of shooting hot and heavy 45/70 loads. I liked this lever over some of the other "big loop" options on the market because it was bigger than the factory one, but not ridiculously big. The loop did require me to file it down in a couple spots with lots of trial and error for the perfect fit in order to get the lever to engage the safety features of the rifle. However, that was to be expected per the description and from the manufacturer's website. My only concern is that rust will form where I had to file away the nickel finish if I am out in wet conditions. Keeping a coat of quality gun oil on it should suffice.
