flyingfrog's Review of JP Enterprises Recoil Eliminator

However it is equally the best brake for being unkind to the guy on the bench next to you. As the shooter the gas and percussion aren't to bad as the shooter but wearing very good ear protection is a must, but that is true of any gun better yet one with a brake on it. Seriously if taming recoil and keeping your eye on the target after pulling the trigger is your primary goal...this is a 10 out of 10. Looks are subjective to each their own. I personally kind of like the "tank look" on some guns, just not a classic wood and deep blue winchester or the such. There are several ways to time this brake. The easiest is get a jamb nut to put behind it, time it & jamb the nut to the brake. Looks quite industrial but it's easy. A crush washer is next easiest. Muzzle shims probably looks the best for the average DYI. I prefer to turn down the back of the brake to fit the muzzle shoulder for a perfect fit. Plenty of options.
Pros:
  • Recoil Reduction
  • Reduced muzzle rise
  • tank like looks
Cons:
  • tank like looks
Best Used for:
  • everything
