This JP recoil eliminator provides far better recoils control in out testing of many, many muzzle breaks. Yes it does send a bunch of gas pressure out to the sides and is loud to the sides. The competition JP muzzle treatment is excellent too but not quite as effective. It does send the gas up through ports instead of the sides so anyone shooting next to you will prefer the competition model. But you will learn to love the JP recoil eliminator after your first shot.

This product is really nice. It is difficult to install, but once you get it on your gun, it reduces recoil and helps with accuracy staying on target. I highly recommend it for a table gun not hunting.

However it is equally the best brake for being unkind to the guy on the bench next to you. As the shooter the gas and percussion aren't to bad as the shooter but wearing very good ear protection is a must, but that is true of any gun better yet one with a brake on it. Seriously if taming recoil and keeping your eye on the target after pulling the trigger is your primary goal...this is a 10 out of 10. Looks are subjective to each their own. I personally kind of like the "tank look" on some guns, just not a classic wood and deep blue winchester or the such. There are several ways to time this brake. The easiest is get a jamb nut to put behind it, time it & jamb the nut to the brake. Looks quite industrial but it's easy. A crush washer is next easiest. Muzzle shims probably looks the best for the average DYI. I prefer to turn down the back of the brake to fit the muzzle shoulder for a perfect fit. Plenty of options.
Pros:
- Recoil Reduction
- Reduced muzzle rise
- tank like looks

I put this on a kel-tec CP 33.
It's more obnoxious than anything, but that is the point of this gun.
I would without hesitation try it on my Tavor as well.
I did buy some extra washers and still not aligning just right, maybe because it is a 22. Will go to Home Depot and get something else that matches perfect.

I have muzzle brakes on all my rifles, by far this is the best at eliminating recoil, example .308 will not come off front bag.. it just comes straight back like a slight push. Does look big and bulky but it really not,,

Using on a Mossberg Patriot chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum. The audible volume of the shot is increased 10 fold, but the recoil is reduced 25 fold. You can shoot the rifle with the stock barely touching your shoulder, and it won't beat you up at all. Firing a whole box of ammo was a pleasure instead of the bruised arm and sore shoulder you would normally get. I also enjoy the looks of it a lot. If you are getting this for an AR-10 in .308, I would bet that the recoil would almost be non-existent.
I know it sounds stupid, but make sure you put the muzzle brake on correctly- the brake should have the narrower part of the tip facing up with the wider part facing down (Just like in the photo) and it is important that the brake is installed level with the barrel of the gun. I saw a review of a shooter that said the brake was terrible since the guns muzzle launched up after every shot. Come to find out, he installed it with the wide part on top.
Highly recommended!
Pros:
- Comfort
- control
- Recoil Reduction
Cons:
- size could be an issue
- noise (all muzzle brakes increase noise, but this one considerably so)
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
- hunting (Mind the increased noise)

Ofcourse there is very little felt recoil on a 6.5 creedmoor, but this muzzle break significantly reduces muzzle flip so you stay on target after the shot. Watching the impact and follow up shots are a breeze with this muzzle device.

The JP Enterprises muzzel brake looks and functions perfectly on my Ruger Precision Rifle .308 in black.. Also purchased a stainless steel one for AR10 .308 with stainless barrel. Very high quality, great fit and impressive. Christmas sale prices made it affordable.
Cons:
- High price, best to buy on sale.

Great product, It took awhile to get because I needed the 1” diameter for a Savage 10 Krieger bench rifle build, after researching muzzle brake reviews and testing, I chose the Tank not because of recoil “my rifle is a .308 and is heavy” but I wanted the rifle to stay on target. I will be ordering several more. It is simple but most effective brake on the market in my opinion.

I love this muzzle device. Works great, looks great, love it. Only negative thing I would say was that install was confusing because I have a crush washer for my rem 700 but the muzzle brake is round so to torque it on with a wrench was not possible, like I do with my my AR's.
