This is an easy way to check your trigger without damage. It's simple to drop into mag well and be able to test your trigger, no pins to set up. The overlapped curved piece stops the trigger and test its function. With the magazine slot on the side it is secured in place in the mag well. All plus's in this tool.

I always keep at least two Hammer Stop blocks, it will stop a permanent crack damage in case of a dry fire when cleaning or working on you lower receivers.

It's simple, and works just like it should. Saw several other versions of hammer stop blocks but they were all more expensive and some looked more complicated than necessary.
Pros:
Inexpensive but well built
simple & easy to use
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Ar-15 lower receiver builds and upgrades

Works as it should. Probably the best way to get a accurate trigger weight reading. Use it to test the weight and to break in the trigger. Most manufacturers recommend to break in the trigger before heading to the range.

This product works as intended. Though, it would be nice if it had more length so you could use it in a vice better. But the block is cheaper than having to buy a lower from hammer hitting and causing damage and still preferred over using the thumb as a stop.

This is so much faster to put in a lower receiver for trigger testing than other products I've used and seen during rifle builds. However, it is loud. Very loud. When the hammer hits this block there is a pop like a fire cracker. If you're only doing a quick function check on the FCG while assembling a lower it's not a big deal. If you're wanting to use this for extended dry fire practice you need to use hearing protection since this pop will be happening so closely to your ears. The hammers started leaving marks on this block from the first use. So far it's been struck probably 50 times and is still intact. I'm not sure that it will hold up to repetitive strikes numbering in the hundreds or thousands. I wanted something to practice dry fire on a complete lower for developing tactile muscle memory and improving trigger control. I don't think that was the intention of this product but it is excellent for lower builds.
Pros:
Works as intended
Great for lower builds
Quick to install in a lower and remove, just like a magazine
Low investment price
Cons:
Very loud
Unsure of longevity from repetitive use
Best Used for:
Assembling AR-15 lowers
Quick testing of FCG and trigger pull force
