Machined off axis to bore - JP Enterprises Rapid Configuration Free-Floating Modular Handguard

This handguard is very light and ergonomic, however mine was machined such that the mounting points as well as the larger lightening/ventilation cuts were off axis to the bore. As you look down the length of the rifle, the picatinny rail milled into the top of the receiver aligns perfectly with the first set of holes in the handguard but the further down the bore towards the muzzle that you look the more the holes gradually shift to the right. This means my front sight is offset to the right of the bore, and when zeroing the sights I had to adjust the windage far to the left to compensate.
