Greg R's Review of Just Right Carbines Takedown Gun Sling Pack For JR Carbine Takedown Gun Black JRC-TD-SP-BLK

This pack is well made. The rear pouch has two pockets. One for the barrel and one for the tubular forearm. These pockets are offset somewhat to lay along the grip side of the receiver assembly. One thing to note is that the JRC take down model requires optics as there is no front sight. The design of this pack does not accommodate leaving your optics attached to the receiver assembly. I purchased a red dot scope with a detachable base, and it fits nicely into the top pocket on the front of the pack. Not a big deal to me, but don't assume you can use regular bases with your optics and use this pack easily. The bottom pocket of the front has three elastic bands to hold three magazine if you so wish. I think it is funny that there are only three. It appears that JRC assumes you will use only three long magazines, when some users may wish to employ standard capacity magazines. After all, not everyone lives in a state that allows magazines more than ten rounds anyway. Kind of a silly oversight to me. Overall, I am glad I bought this pack. I appreciate the fact I can carry the rifle to and from my vehicle without alarming my neighbors when I go to the range. The only thing I am curious about this pack is that it has a side pouch with an elastic string top. I have no idea what JRC is expecting the purchaser to use this for. A water bottle perhaps?
