I own four of the kci usa 1911 8 round mags. They all work just fine. They hold 8 rounds, they feed all 8 rounds and the slide stays open when the last round is extracted. Hundreds of rounds, hundreds. Factory loads, hand loads, fmj, jhp, and no problems. And I'm not running them in a $2k 1911. I run them in my $420 Taylor's & Co. M1911 FS tact. That's how I can afford the thousands of rounds of ammo I use every year. I own several 1911 pistols and the one I have trouble with is the one I paid $1500 for. total POS. it James whether I use a $40 mag or a $16 mag.
