Easy to install, easy to remove. Provides extra comfort to the smooth skin baby faces of shooters that aren't sporting the "operator" beard. Not mandatory accessory, but you do notice when it is not on the shotgun. Would be great for cold rain/snow conditions. Keeps face off metal receiver unless you like that sort of thing.
