It is machined from high-grade aluminum and finished with hard coat anodizing; this riser can take a beating, and I certainly put it through the ringer. It locks up tight under recoil and maintains alignment under all conditions. Raising your optic approximately 0.63 inches, it provides the perfect platform for shooting with NODs or just from a more natural “heads-up” position. Despite its rugged capabilities, the SIDELOK riser maintains a clean, low-profile appearance. It adds function without unnecessary bulk or weight. Customers should understand that the price tag on this riser is well worth the extra expense compared to basic riser options as you are paying for high-end engineering, tool-less convenience, and return-to-zero reliability. It’s an investment in performance.

A couple of things to consider (but not dealbreakers): The SIDELOK mechanism is very intuitive once you’ve used it a few times. If you’re used to traditional QD levers, this may feel different at first—but it quickly becomes second nature. Another point of note, this riser is solid rather than ultra-light. If shaving grams is your top priority, there may be lighter options—but few match the SIDELOK’s strength and repeatability.
