A good solid base for a heavy spotting scope. I used this base to watch while my so sighted a 25-06. When the wind gusts hit 25 - 30 mph it vibrated a little but we were having to wait for the wind to die down a little for the next shot anyway.
Pros: solid base, stable
Cons: allows a little vibration in high winds.

This review was written in the old system and had content requirements that are different than reviews written today.
