In addition to using binoculars, my husband and I like to look at things like rocks and plants up close. I wanted something small that we could put in our backpacks. This is perfect. The 20X magnification is great and it folds into its own case to protect the lens. We recently went to Kauai and it's amazing to see the coral and lava detail in the sand granules.
