Disappointed - Konus Konuspro M30 3-12x56mm Zoom Rifle Scope

I recently purchased the M30 8.5-32 KonusPro after reading numerous positive reviews. I have to say I am disappointed. It came nowhere near the hype I read.

First the Pros. I do like the turret and click adjustments, the locking turrets and the side paralax adjustments. Can adjust paralax down to 10 yards. Held zero once sighted.

The Cons. I'm most disappointed in the glass clarity at max magnification. I have a few lesser expensive scopes. And at 32x, the Konus is no more clear than my Barska Swat or even my NC Star -both of which are much less expensive. The reports of clarity were the primary reason I bought this scope. And it has been the biggest disappointment. Many claim it is just as clear as the Leupolds and the Nikons. Wrong. My Barska SWAT is just as clear at 40x as the Konus is at 32x.

I'm disappointed in the anti-cant bubble system. The bubble is almost too small to see. And it is almost impossible to hold the rifle still enough to keep the bubble in the middle. And when it gets even minutely "off cant", the bubble goes completely to one side or the other. It literally took me hours to get the bubble initially lined up.

I contacted e-mailed Konus concerning these issues and asked them if I had gotten a sub-quality scope or if this scope is standard quality. They never contacted me back. That tells me two things - poor customer service and/or that the scope I received is in fact standard quality. Either or both are again disappointing.

I wont say this is a bad scope. I will say that it nowhere near lives up to the hype about phenomenal clarity. It is not worth the extra money over Barska. The Barska Swat is at least as much scope for less.
Pros: Good turret and click adjustments. Locking turrets very effective. The side paralax adjustment is tight but accurate. Can adjust down to 10 yards. Held zero once sighted.
Cons: Clarity is no better than less expensive scopes, Anti-cant bubble system is virtually unuseable.
