Good starter scope for new users, but about it. - Konus Konuspot 60C 20-60x60mm Spotting Scope with Tripod

Clarity out to 200 yards is pretty good, as is the brightness of the image. Overall for close in work it is adequate.
However, I tried to focus in on a target at 300 yards and could not get the clarity to seethe target clearly, never mind see the holes in the paper. I also noticed at max magnification I could see that the focusing lens tips/rocks when adjusting. It was disappointing when I could clearly see the target and *almost* make out the holes with my Konus F30 rifle scope, but not really surprising considering the price point. Good glass costs good money.
