I was looking for a lighter pair of quality binoculars without breaking the bank that still had a metal body. The build quality of these is excellent. The optics for general use and birding are great, with a wide FOV and bright tack sharp center focus. Very close focus also. The focus rack is fast and smooth, easy to use. 4 stop eye cups provide precision eye relief adjustment. I can use with or without glasses. I'm very happy with this glass.
