Great value and performance with kowa bd-xd 10x42 - Kowa BD42-10XD Prominar 10x42mm Binocular

Bought the Kowa BD-XD 10x42 binocular with ED glass at the Optics alley showcase at the Greatest Week in American birding in May 2018. Compared them to other leading mid range models like Zeiss, Nikon, Leipold and I thought the Kowa were as good or better at a lower price point. They have performed great in the field, delivering crystal clear, well lit, stunning images of birds and other wildlife, landscapes, natural features, etc. Lent to a friend doing a safari in Kenya and worked amazingly well. They are almost a compact size which is nice especially for travel. The only issue I have had is the diopter is sensitive and sometimes getting both tubes exactly balanced for focus takes some time. But that has been a solvable and minor issue.
