Mike's Review of Kowa YF II 30-8 8x30mm Porro Prism Binocular
I own several pair of "Thousand Dollar" binos.
Wanted a lightweight pair to keep by chair to watch birds.
Didn't expect much for this price.
WOW was I surprised.
Top Quality build. The screw up eye cups are tough and will last through years of abuse.
The view is very decent. Both is width of field and quality. I simply (and much to my surprise) cannot find any defect in the lenses. Even at the edges there is no fringing.
My more expensive binoculars have more precise focusing and clarity, but frankly, I'm beginning to wonder if it was worth it.
These are THAT good.
I don't know how they do it at that price point.
