Matt S.'s Review of L2D Combat Catalyst Slide RMR Ready, Glock 19 Gen 3/4/5
Whether you are building a glock from scratch or just looking for a turn key solution to get a red dot on your carry gun, this slide is an awesome choice.
I really like the design. Clean lines, very functional serrations, and the cutouts are tasteful. The cutouts also arent large enough to allow brass or other large debris to enter the slide (something you can't say about every slide design).
The finishing on this is really nice. Serrations have some bite but other edges are smooth and there weren't any burrs or other tooling marks. No parts compatibility/fitment issues - I used a L2D parts kit but run a Victory First barrel and Cruxord guide rod.
I went with a simple solid color but it is an even, consistent coating that has held up nicely during the 500ish rounds and countless holster draws that I have done with this slide so far. I like the other options/patterns that they offer and after seeing the quality of the coating on my solid color, I would consider getting a pattern if i got another L2D slide.
I mounted a Holosun 507c on this slide and the fit in the pocket/cutout was pleasantly snug even before installing the screws. Just ordered a set of the L2D suppressor height fiber optic sights to go with it.
Overall this is a great slide for a solid price, which is what I have come to expect from my experiences with other L2D glock parts I use.
