Daniel's Review of Lancer Adaptive Magwells
This applies to the two piece version; I have no experience with the one piece version: The instructions are inside the folded cardboard insert, but I'll repeat here for the majority of us that don't read instructions (especially for something that seems obvious to install, at least to me) - make sure to start by lining up the half of the magwell that has the front trigger set/grub screw and secure the TRIGGER GUARD FIRST. After you have that secured, THEN use the two screws that hold the two pieces of magwell together to join those pieces together.
Starting off the other way will have you scratching your head how to make the trigger guard holes line up. I started off securing the two magwell screws, and found that the front trigger guard set/grub screw didn't want to line up with the corresponding hole in the magwell. Nearly broke out a drill to ream out the magwell set/grub screw hole so that I could get the trigger guard set/grub screw in, but luckily common sense prevailed, backed out the two magwell screws, and was able to lineup the set/grub screw hole with the leading trigger guard hole. Like magic, the two magwell screws magically merged the two magwell pieces together.
All in all, love this magwell. Works perfectly fine with Lancer L5-AWM 300 Blackout mags on a Sig M400 lower. DOES NOT work with Magpul Pmag G3 magazines as stated by Lancer. Works for me though - allows me to make sure 300BLK stays separate from 556/223 rounds for a different AR.
