Lasergenetics subzero 50mm nd3x50sz - Laser Genetics ND 3 x 50mm Sub-zero Laser Designator w/ Scope Mount

This is a quality instrument and picking it up gives the first clue. At night, it will light up an area sufficiently to identify your target and the area around it. Focusing the size of the illuminated area allows you to keep it bright enough to be useful. The only negative I have found so far is that the mount needs to have the ability to aim the direction of the beam. With a regular spotlight, there is a wide area of illumination and pointing the beam in the general direction is more than adequate. With this very focused beam, the beam and the scope need to be on the same spot unless you widen it out so it 'floodlights' the subject. The idea behind this light is to keep the beam small and direct it to the point where the crosshairs of the scope is looking. The mount needs to be adjustable to sight in the light, just as you sight in the rifle scope. Pushing on the laser to direct it to the crosshairs works, but is not satisfying, and I expect that the recoil of the rifle will throw it off for a second shot without re-aiming the light. I purchased this laser for hunting feral hogs that root up my pastures at night, and I am looking forward to trying it soon.

Cons: Scope Mount difficult to 'sight in'
