Stopped working after one use - LaserLyte Laser Bore Sight Deluxe Kit

I boresighted in one rifle in my garage and then put that rifle in the case to take to the range to finish zeroing in. It worked great, the Laserlyte worked fine, although kind of cheaply made and wobbly. But i didn't mind because i just needed it to get me close to zero, before finishing it off with 1 or 2 shots at the range. Then, the next night, I attempted to boresight another rifle, but the Laserlyte was flickering and then just stopped working. I changed the batteries, then checked the batteries with a multimeter, then checked the terminals inside the Laserlyte, but nothing appeared wrong or bent or broken. It just stopped working. What a waste, I never even got to finish one rifle! I'll be buying the caliber-specific bullet style boresighters as they seem way more robust, albeit expensive.
