Northwest Florida BigDog's Review of LaserLyte Laser Sight Trainer
I received my LaserLyte TGL yesterday and, installed in "seconds!" Pay attention to the installation instructions and, put the left side on first, followed by the right side, last. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the laser came with three brand-new batteries in the laser, plus, an extra pack of three additional batteries. Thanx! After adjusting the laser beam at close range (about 15 feet), I can't wait to shoot my pistol at a target at the range now! I will eventually adjust the laser beam, out to a distance of 50 feet, which is the recommended distance, of most laser manufacturers! I know that I can't have my cake, and, eat it too, but, it would be great if the the laser color was Green. (A better color, for daytime use). Even though it is Red, it is a very "tight, tiny, concentrated, and, very bright Red dot," which I prefer over a larger-sized dot. Either way, if I ever have to use my pistol after dark, for defensive purposes, that Red dot, on an assailant's forehead, or, in the middle of his chest, should "get the assailant's attention" in a heartbeat! The only "slight" problem that I had with the laser was, after removing the battery cap, and, removing the batteries, it was a little "tricky," after replacing the batteries, and, then, replacing the battery compartment cap because the threaded cap, is "very finely threaded," and, you have to be very careful, and, take your time re-installing this battery cap, or, you may "damage" the threads, which you really need to avoid doing! Just be careful, and, the cap will re-install, just fine! (Now, I'm off to the range tomorrow, to check out my Taurus TCP's accuracy with both the steel sights, and, with the laser sight!)
