Target was a little smaller than I expected, but works well with other LaserLyte products. (Remember, you have to be able to hit the display and reset button from across the room as well). Make sure that the batteries in your training pistol are fresh. Otherwise the laser signal will not be powerful enough to activate this target. Target works well in normal room light, but I have not tried it in a sunlit room. Works well with the laser training pistol from at least 10 yards away. So far, working well.

Neat little unit. Great for training or just as a game. Like to move around the different rooms of the house shooting at it from different cover and angles. Wish it had something that would keep a running score.

This is an innovative product that is both fun and instructional. Now you can reap the proven benefits of dry fire training in your own home so that range time with live fire is more efficient. Elite military trainers have documented the benefits of dry fire training. This training tool is useful for refining proper form and fundamentals without the noise, recoil, and expense of live fire. It is useful both for the beginner and for the experienced shooter who is looking to reinforce or refine perishable shooting skills.

I had used this Laser Target while visiting my US Marine son and had to have one. You have to use the laser cartridge which is also available from Optics Planet. Together they make an excellent practice device to confirm stance, grip and accuracy. Not only is it fun - it prepares you for your time at the range. Highly recommended for both the beginner and expert!

I REALLY like this product. I use it often and I can tell that my marksmanship has improved without the expense and time involved in going to the range. It is also a good way to begin teaching both adults and children how to shoot properly and safely.

I use laser trainer cartridge LT9 and a LT-PRO with the target. Very safe way to teach beginners how to shoot.

Cartridges are pricey and the LT-9, LT-40 and LT-45 cartridges csn mslfunction even after a few hundred shots. However, good warranty (3 years or 3000 shots) and the back end (snap cap) can be replaced easily. Excellent service. All hits on the target are displayed accurately but only after one shoots the "display" with the laser. To reset, one must "shoot" the reset button. It will be nice to have immediate feedback with a sound after a good "hit".
Pros: Saves on ammo! Easy to use. Visibility is good after each hit.
Cons: Flimsy case. Too many screws to remove before battery can be replaced.

Could add some kind of tone when a shot is made that is loud enough that those that are hard of hearing could hear it.

Overall a good training device!
Pros: Easy to set up
Cons: Awkward to use as it does not display as you shoot, but only afer an intermediate step.

I haven't had any problems with the trainer system yet, but do your best to mount securely because the plastic housing seems thin and cheap.
Pros: Practice anywhere!
