Cheap price, cheap product - LaserMax CenterFire Laser Sight for S&W Shield

Got this for myself, via my mother for Christmas. Online item that I purchased myself, gave to her to give to me since she was fresh out of ideas and not exactly internet savy to find exactly what is going to fit the gun I have. Upon getting it, I installed which was not hard at all. Looks very clean. Functions terrible. Fired a few shots and it went out (which is common on most cheap laser sights it seems). Finished off what was left of the 6rd magazine with standard sights. A while later it started working again. Fast forward to another day, it works, I fire 2 shots, it stops working. Evidently it cannot handle 40 cal subcompact recoil very good. It was not working when I put it back in the safe, maybe it will be later. Who knows. Either way, in my opinion, its junk. I gave the whole box to my mother who trashed it, so I don't have the invoice. Evidently I don't have the order number from it so I can't return it now, and I must have checked out as a guest, because I evidently don't have an account here even though I get tons of OP emails and have reviewed other items in the past. Don't buy this. Looks good, works poorly.
