Most Helpful Negative Review The laser works great, but the battery cover launches after 2nd round
This sight fits the p365 great and activates exactly as designed. It has much better activation and overall feel than the Sig Lima. Worked great for dry fire with the laser receiver targets. The problem was the small press fit battery cover. It went somewhere down range on the 2nd shot and was lost. If this came with the screw down system of the Sig, it would be the superior laser.

Lasermax Laser Centerfire Grn W/gripsence Sig P365/p365 Xl

by Gene, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on August 14, 2024
Excellent sight. Instead of pushing a button to turn it on you place your index finger in the grove and it's on. I have a Crimson Trace on my P938 and it's great but I like this one better.

Very impressed

This is a pretty impressive little piece. Pretty cool how they worked it out that you can just grip your pistol and have an automatic laser and don't have to turn it on or off. lso don't have to worry about it being on in the holster. Used a laser bore sight with this and dialed them in.
Pros:
  • Fits the P365 perfectly and easy to assemble.
Cons:
  • None

Update on LaserMax Gripsense for Sig Sauer P365

by Russ, from OH, United States Written on April 6, 2023
I wanted to update my experiences with the LaserMax Gripsense for Sig Sauer P365. I have had no further problems with the battery door coming off during practice draws. Also, after several trips to the range the battery door has remained intact. (Although I'm still concerned that it might fly off). I'm not sure why this improved but I did do a slight modification to the kydex holster in order to get a better purchase on the pistol for practice draws. This could also be coincidental. I was also pleasantly surprised that the laser sight provides more accurate targeting than I was expecting. I am changing my recommendation to "yes" but leaving the rating the same. I think it should be rated 3 1/2 but not 4.
Pros:
  • Fairly Accurate
Cons:
  • Still have concerns about the battery door coming off although it hasn't recently.

LaserMax GripSense for Sig Sauer P365

by Russ, from OH, United States Written on October 24, 2022
The LaserMax GripSense for the Sig Sauer P365 arrived from Optics Planet in the factory package WITHOUT the battery door. I don't believe Optics Planet was at fault. I contacted LaserMax and got excellent customer service as they sent me a new battery door immediately. I mentioned to the customer service representative that I had seen reviews where the battery door comes off while shooting. The customer service representative said that shouldn't happen if the door is properly placed on the laser sight with a positive click. However, the battery door comes off occasionally just doing practice draws. I examined the battery compartment and didn't notice anything broken. Maybe I just got a faulty one.
There are also fewer holster companies that make a holster for the LaserMax GripSense Sig Sauer P365 combination. I ordered a holster from "Just Holster It" that works with the combination. If I had not ordered the holster already I would have returned the LaserMax GripSense specifically because of the battery door issue. The Arma Laser is similar but uses a screw to secure the battery door. Otherwise the LaserMax works like it's supposed to.
Also I had previously thought that I could turn off the laser for practice draws to save the battery but you can't. Apparently most of the grip activated lasers sights are like this. You can only turn it off with the buttons after you initially grip it or it automatically goes off when you reh...
