Great laser but holstering will turn laser on/off - LaserMax Spartan Adjustable Rail Mounted 5mW Red Laser Sight

This green laser has a nice bright laser. Installation and sighting in was very easy. The only drawback to these lasers with the large paddles is that they tend to be 'touched' every time one holsters the firearm—I have only a Kydex so I can't speak for a leather holster—and the laser gets turned on. I discovered it only after I put the firearm away in the safe while still holstered and saw the laser dot in the darkness. So, I thought, I'll just need to remember to turn it on before holstering, which will then shut it off during holstering. And then when drawing the firearm, the laser will automatically get turned on, which would be great! But, as I found out, if wearing IWB, I found that the flexing and movement will constantly turn the laser on/off all day. Yes, it will auto-turn off after a while, but it's still a drain on the battery. It's a really nice, economic laser, and for a non-holstered firearm I believe it'll be just fine. So you be the judge whether or not it will work for you.
