Great vest so far!! - UTG Pro 547 Law Enforcement Tactical Vest

My wife and I ordered two of these-one for me and one for her. Due to my disabilities we had been looking at something like this and finally went ahead and bought them. I drive 60 miles one way to work 4 days a week (all freeway in the middle of the desert) and wanted something to help distribute weight of and have mags close to hand if SHTF and I have to walk or drive home through crazies, etc and also want one for my wife at home so she has mags close to hand as well JIC SHTF!!!
We received the left handed vest today (a little annoyed that they weren't both shipped out together as they are both in stock-first reason the product only gets 4 stars, not 5) and set it up for me as I am a south paw. The extra dual mag pouch is excellent, although if you had a single it looks like you can have 5 mag pouches (the four attached plus on additional) and the handgun holster as well-will update if we go that route!!!
The holster fits my ATI/GSG 1911 22 very nicely, although I am considering getting a drop down holster so I can use all 6 mag pouches.
The mag pouches are very strong and each hold 2 20 or 30 round mags (I use mainly magpul 30s but have others) for a total of 12+1 in your AR or or only 1 40/42 rounder (I use Magpul 40 and Promag 42 rounders) for a total of 6+1 (which is something I gave it four stars four although that would be a lot of weight) in your AR....just be warned that the 42 rounder is a very tight fit compared to the 40 rounders but after some break in it did fit and seat into the pouch decently and securely....overall we are very impressed with the quality and that the vest balances the load out very well!!! The hand gun mag pouches are a little high for my taste-I would prefer them on the belt but then I have very short arms due to orthopedic disabilities.
The adjustments were very nice and easy-I am very small for a male adult and it fits perfectly once my wife helped get the fit right.
So you don't have to do the math, it looks like you have the following options on this vest for rifle mags (Ar-15 style-223/556/300 blkout, etc):
All 6 mag pouches on: 12 20 round MAGS OR 12 30 round MAGS OR 6 40/42 round MAGS;
5 Mag pouches (4 attached permanently plus one you'd install on the Velcro next to handgun-which is the option I we seriously considering): 10 20 round MAGS OR 10 30 Round mags OR 5 40/42 round mags;
4 Mag pouches: 8 20 round mags OR 8 30 round mags OR 4 40/42 round mags!
