This is not the first UTG Hunter rifle scope I have purchased. Because I liked the first one which is on a Game Magnum Swarm I purchased this one for a Winchester Model 70 30-06.
This scope has very clear optics and I found no distortion on the edges. All the different reticle colors, to me, are useless. I use the standard black and have not even put a battery in it.
The reticle adjustments are positive and repeatable. I probably won't use it beyond the 12 power but the price is the same as the 3 x 9. Good value if you don't want to spend 3 or 4 times as much for some of the other scopes on the market.
Pros:
- Crisp clear optics, positive reticle adjustment.
Cons:
- The scope covers that come with the rifle are too big and needed to be removed in order to properly mount the scope.
Best Used for:
- Whatever you need it for.

The scope is fine optically. It is heavier than I expected. Would be good on a Marauder or similar. I bought it for Hammerli 850 and it feels top heavy. The front lens cap is the only negative. When it is on, adjusting parallax is not possible. It looks like the part that holds the cap on could be reversed to act as a lens shade, but the cap would have to be taken loose. Don't see how this will work.

Excellent scope. Affordable and functional for a novice shooter like me. Easy to sight in. Girlfriend loves the multi-colored reticle. An we know making the little woman happy means we can buy more stuff. Offers great options for multiple distances, and seeing the holes in the target means one can track ones progress.

This is my second Leaper's scope. First was the 3-9 and both work great. I shoot indoors at 50' during the winter and these are the only scopes I found that would focus both the crosshairs and the target at that short distance. These both have A.O. Looked through a dozen new scopes of different brands at close range, some with A.O. and nothing comes close to the crystal clear optics of these two scopes. Hard to go wrong, quality scopes at a great price. Had both in three to four days. They are both mounted on 10/22's... Three of my shooting buddies also have bought the same scopes for the same reason.

I mounted this scope on a .25 Cal. PCP air rifle. It does a good job at holding zero. The optics are bright enough for normal daytime shooting. The only drawback I've found is that the reticle seems a little thick to me, but it's not anything that's a deal breaker
Cons:
- Reticle cross hairs too thick

I have this mounted on a Trail NP2. It holds up to the recoil well.
Optics are clear, turret adjustment works as it should. The scope maintains it's accuracy shot after shot.
It's not a light scope, but not so heavy that it is an issue.
Cons:
- Front Sunhade needs to be removed for full range.
