Lurchman's Review of Leapers UTG 3-9x32 Mil-dot Rifle Scope w/ .22 Rings
I know it is a low cost scope, but this one would still not hold its zero from shot to shot. I bought it for my Bejamin Titan NP springer .22 cal air rifle, but as soon as I replaced the cheap scope that came with it with this UTG...all accuracy went away. With the scope that came on my Benjamin (a simple 4x scope), I was shooting 10 shot half-inch groups at 10yrds and 1.25inch groups at 30yrds pretty consistently. I've put on many scopes before and I know that this was put on properly. When I put this one on, I had to adjust it within a few clicks of max which gave me almost no elevation adjustability once I reset the zero on the knobs. After only around 10 shots of having my scope close to zero...it lost all consistency. I have had four different shooters now try this gun out with the UTG scope and the best 20yrd group anyone has been able to achieve was around 4inches. I have tried multiple pellets at several distances and the scope just can't hold a zero. I would not recommend this scope.
Things I did like:
The lenses were very clear for a cheaper scope and the AO feature seemed to work very well. I really enjoyed the flip-up scope covers that came with the scope and the mil dots seemed to be very accurate at 9x magnificaiton when lined up with my father's very expensive spotting scope's mil dots.
