Solid, light, simple ar-15 handguard - UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 15in Ultra Slim Free Float Handguard

In general, I like Leapers UTG products - I used to have a lower opinion of them, but the mores stuff I buy from them, the more I like them. I really like this hand guard. I resisted the trend of getting longer hand guards for a while. But recently decided to buy this 15" handgaurd. I know it's not the longest on the market, but it was longer than I needed. It turns out that this is now one of my favorite handgaurds. It's very light, so the extra length has very little impact on weight, and no noticeable effect on balance. I use fixed "iron" sights, so the extra length helps with the sight radius. I can get my hand a little farther forward, but not as much as others with longer arms, I assume. I also like to attach my sling as far forward as possible, which this also helps with; I realize attaching the sling as forward as possible may impact the balance of the rifle, but I'm used to it, and this hand guard is light. This hand guard is light, slim, and has the M-LOK mounting options, all of which I like. Easy to mount, indexes easily thanks to the design of the rear of the hand guard, everything is as advertised. Finally, I hate rails. I begrudgingly live with them for mounting things like a front sight (haven't found any M-LOK options for sights, maybe a good reason for that). So this hand guard has the minimal amount of rails, while still being able to attach a fixed front sight. Only recommendation I would have for UTG is to vent the top of the hand guard rather than closing it off...might make it just bit lighter. Only regret I have is not getting the version of this hand guard with the titanium barrel nut.
