Compact, simple, lightweight ar stock - UTG Pro AR15 Ops Ready S4 Mil-spec Stock

The more Leapers products I get, the more I like them - reasonable prices, good quality (good enough for me), and innovative designs. Their S4 stock is my most recent purchase from Leapers, and it embodies all the things just described about Leapers. This stock is ideal for me, but might not be for you. I like how compact it is, but the smaller interface with your shoulder may or may not be ok for you. The cheek "riser" doesn't really do much to raise your cheek, but it does provide an extended stable surface for your cheek weld (to mitigate contact between cheek and buffer tube). BUT, depending on your platform the cheek riser MIGHT obstruct some controls, such as an AR-15 charging handle. I installed this stock on an AK with an AR-style collapsible buffer tube, so I don't know if the cheek riser will interfere with an AR charging handle. The cheek riser is easily removed without tools. But again, this is not an issue, and I like this stock and cheek riser. Finally, beware that if you install this on a 6 position buffer tube, it will only be limited to 4 positions...at least that's the case for me (assuming I've attached it correctly). Again, this is inconsequential for me, but others may not like it. Thus, going back to the cheek riser, there shouldn't be an issue of the cheek riser making contact with your AR receiver when fully collapsed; on my AK with AR buffer tube, the cheek riser doesn't contact the receiver when collapsed. But then again, it may depend on your platform.

Despite the potential issues with this stock described above, I stand by my 5 star rating because these issues are either not present on my weapon, or they're inconsequential for me. So again, this stock works for me and I'm happy with it.
