Papaws ak to cod ak - Leapers UTG Pro Super Slim M-LOK AK Handguard

This is part of my first AK build, i'm very seasoned with AR builds. This handguard was very difficult to install, not because of the parts with the kit, but because of alignment. The top handguard is held in place with "pressure" from the front handguard adapter that comes on your rifle(one with the flip lever), and it took me 5-6 tries to get it good and snug to where I almost couldn't fully seat the lever. The instructions tell you to align the holes in the top and bottom pieces, but to get the top handguard tight the screw holes were slightly miss-aligned. This worked for me because if you take your time and kinds self-thread the first couple rotations of the screws that anchor the top and bottom together it will fall into place and become even tighter of a fit. Once completely together this thing will not move, but because you almost have to eyeball this handguard being centered I WOULD NOT put a micro dot on it, it may be slightly off center, which you would never know unless you put a sight on it. Don't get discouraged, build it!
