jack's Review of Hi-Lux Optics ATR Professional 1.5-6x42mm Rifle Scope
I bought this scope because it has a 30 mm scope tube . Most 30 mm tube scopes have more moa of adjustment than 1 in tube scopes.
I installed this scope on an ak pattern rifle with a Midwest industries mount . I had tried to use a spare luepold 3x9x40 that I already had but the scope did not have enough adjustment in the elevation to zero . The scope sets high over the bore on an am with the scope mounted on a side rail mount and needs more adjustment than a scope mounted low over the bore . The leatherwood scope zeroed out fine with no issues and the adjustment seemed to be good when I was adjusting zero on the scope ( 4 clicks did move poi about 1 in at 100 yds) and the optics are pretty good considering the price of the scope . I did not see any flare or distortion in the lens (coke bottle affect) . The scope was easy to view through . As far as brightness , I was at the range mid morning so there was plenty of light and the scope looked bright .
When you consider price for what you get this scope is a winner . The quality of this scope is good in all aspects , adjustment system worked good and repeatable , focus and magnification adjustments worked well , optical lenses look clear and tube construction seems to be as good as any other scope in the price range .
If you need an low powered optic for something like an ak or ar and have a budget of $200 this scope works well .
I am pleased with this optic for all reasons listed above . I gave it 5 stars because of the price per value it gives the consumer . I am not saying it is as good as a $1000 optic .In optics I would say this one is a pretty good quality per dollar value and you get extra adjustment of a 30 mm tube as well as more light .
