Bassmaster Dave's Review of Lee Production Pot IV Electric Melter 90009
Lee makes good lead melting pots. I have owned 3 in the past 21 years. The first one lasted 20 years and died from over use. The second one failed when lead may have had other metals mixed with it and clogged the drain. Not the fault of Lee Pot. Now I'm on my third pot. Lead nowadays have some other alloy mixed with it, which does not work well in the Lee melting pot. Make sure you are using 100% lead in your melting pot and you'll be good to go.
Pros:
- Bottom pour easy to transfer to mold
- Size very compact
Cons:
- Lead needs to be 100 percent or drain will get clogged
