I was about to buy cheaper configured Chinese microscope, when I bought a used but mint Leica EZ4 16X (also made in China) for my stamp collecting hobby. The Leica is beyond words, the optical quality and the simplicity of operation is unbeatable. The inclined lighting also helps with the review of US stamp embossments. Brilliant piece of equipment that needs no maintenance as such. Also good resale value I guess whenever I will dispose it in future.
