I bought this as a solution for different family members' height as we use my Fatboy tripod for spotting scopes and rangefinders while whale watching from shore. I was worried that this adjustable height column would have some wobble to it and ruin the rigidness of the nice tripod, but it was rock solid. Perfect for viewing whales at 2,000-3,000 yards out!
Pros:
  • Very rigid and tight tolerances eliminate wobble.
  • Fits 75 mm bowl.
  • Adjustability is so large that it covers all family members' heights.
Cons:
  • No bag or cover for transporting separately
Best Used for:
  • Spotting and ranging.
