If you're looking for a non qd mount for your rifle scope, this would be an excellent choice. Very solid mounting option. However,I would recommend running this mount with a robust optic you're not worried about breaking down on you, since it would not be a quick operation to be able to access BUIS, since you'd have to loosen 5 torx bolts in the field. I'd run a military grade LPVO, with no BUIS with this mount. For a lesser optic, I'd run buis and a good QD mount.
