Bill's Review of Leupold Binocular Tripod Adapter Tray
The "saddle" is spaced for approximately interoccular spacing, so porro prism binoculars have to be mounted on the occular end, otherwise the elastic squeezes the objectives together. Hope that made sense.

Roof prism binoculars.
