The 7x Hawthorne is made in Japan. It has an extremely solid build. Image is very sharp. Can't tell much in the way of color bias. The image isn't as bright as one would expect. Still very good though. FOV isn't as great as other competitors. Extremely comfortable neckstrap. Objective covers stay on very well. Case is very basic, and that is saying it nicely. The only downside on my particular example is that the focus wheel is rather stiff, and after several months of use it has not smoothed out. Overall though, the 6mm EP gives it an extremely comfortable view.
