Good general purpose scope - Leupold FX-II 4x33mm Fixed Power Rifle Scope

I bought this scope last year for my 30-06. I mostly hunt woods, though sometimes over look clear cuts of several hundred yards. This is a good scope out to as far a distance as I would be comfortable taking an animal (a couple hundred yards). The scope would be fine far past that, I just don't feel comfortable past that. Glass is clear and bright. The cross hairs are good, last year I took my deer in low light and the thicker portions of the reticle let me line up cleanly. This scope is all you could hope for if looking at a fixed 4x. I did need to buy an off set front ring to allow the scope back far enough for proper eye relief, but that is not unusual with a long action and compact scope. I was a little concerned with a single power, but those concerns were alleviated once I used it. I have no hesitation using a fixed power scope moving forward. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
