Awsome scopes for luddites - Leupold FX-II 6x36mm Fixed Power Rifle Scope

Now have 4 of these; .223, 280, 2 x 3006. They are simple, rugged, and about as good as it gets for guys who don't need a power ring to play with. Seriously, good to 400-500 yards on big game animals, providing the guy driving it has the capability. Have used from AR/MO deer woods in the thickets to WY pronghorn flats, with untold trips in griz country elk hunting and have never felt the "small" field of view to be a problem. If I weren't downsizing the gun safe contents I would probably have even more of them. An added benefit is good eye relief and looooooong mounting tube for L/A rifles.
