Leupold mk4 m1 tmr 10x40 - Leupold Mark 4 10x40mm LR/T M1 Rifle Scope w/ Sniper Tactical Milling Reticle - 60085 Rifle Scope

I ordered two Leupold Mk4 M1 tmr's for my rifles. One was suppose to come from Leupold's Custom Shop because I wanted it Anadized O/D Green with black Splatter. After ordering, I was informed Leupold will NOT paint the Mk4's. They'll do it with just about every other scope, but not the Mk4's (or at least so I was told by the customer service rep from Optics Planet, and then from a representative from Leupold. A matte black Mk4 was then shipped to me. It got to my residence VERY quickly, which was impressive to me. The box appeared undamaged. When I opened it up and took the scope out, to check it out, it appeared undamaged. I did not have a mirror to set the optical zero so I adjusted the windage all the way right, counted the clicks to the left, and then went split the difference back to the right. When I tried to set the elevation I only had 70 clicks of adjustment...total. Once I did acquire a mirror, I tried it again, with the same results. Also, while looking through the glass I saw what appeared to be a lens which had moved (I could see a semicircle edge of what appeared to me to be a lens which had slipped down. I notified Leupold of the issue and then shipped the optic back to them to be replaced. As of the time of this review I have not received the optic back.

My second Mk4 arrived about a week later. As of this review I have not had an opportunity to fire my 300 RUM with its new optic.


Pros: Decent Price
Cons: Scope was broken when received.
