Paul B.'s Review of Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 8.5-25x50 Rifle Scope M5 1/10 Mil Illum TMR
I bought this scope because I wanted something lighter than my Vortex Razors. I ordered the TMR with M5 turrets in mils so it would be similar to the mils in my Vortex Scopes. The Leupold scope is rugged and the magnification ring is smooth as the older MK 4 that I have.
I mounted the scope, bore sighted and headed to my range. IT took two shots to zero and I proceeded to take the rifle to 500 yards. That's when I noticed the problem. The numbers etched on the turret sleeve do NOT match the click by any means. It appears that the numbers are in minutes of angle since they are in quarters instead of fifths or tenths. I researched this scope and others for days and did not see this issue come up.
I called Optic's Planet and they understood the issue and offered a return. However, I expained that I have mounted and used the scope and they responded it is their police to accept no returns on mounted optics which I fully understand their written policy.
So now I have a very nice L Scope that is completely worthless to me for my intended use.
