I have a 20 year Bushmaster AR-15, I think it an A2, purchased new in 2000. Can use .223 and 5.56 ammo. This rail snapped right into the handle firmly. It seems to be parallel with the barrel, but wont know until sighted in. It measures with a ruler parallel. Happy with it.
