Better than my buddies vortex - Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder With DNA

Used this for a couple successful hunts. Like all of the products in this price range it seems to have problems if there is any sort of light fog or snow in the mountain air. It did pick up a moose at 1100 yards which was pretty impressive.

My buddy has a similarly priced Vortex rangefinder and the Leupold seems to pick up objects further than 500 yards better than his. Once we were each locked on to an object the yardage was pretty darn close so i'm guessing the technology is similar. This is a bit more money than the Vortex and people rave about the customer service there vs the somewhat entitled customer service and limited warranty of Leupold, so you would need to decide if you are ranging from 500-1000 yards regular enough for a quick lock to be worth the money.
