Not worth the cost - Leupold VX-Freedom 4-12x40mm Rifle Scope, 1" Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

This is the first Leupold scope I've ever owned that I did not think was worth what I paid for it. Glass is clear edge to edge and the scope is light weight with solid construction but turrets are hard to turn and not positive. Eye relief is great (over 3.5 inches I'd say) but the eyebox is not as forgiving as my other Leupold scopes and I find myself having to really try to position myself just right behind the scope to get a full picture. Low light performance is adequate but not extraordinary...I've got other brands that cost less that are just as good if not better. I own or have owned serval Leupolds over the years including VX3i, VX2, VX1 and other VX Freedom scopes but I just simply would not buy this one again. I'll be replacing it soon.
