The Leupold 4.5-14x A/O is not only optically outstanding, but it is likely to be the best power to field-of-view compromise for varmint hunting. The lower power settings allow scanning for targets while the 14x setting permits long range precision. The adjustable objective eliminates parallax at varying ranges and is highly recommended. In the past, many variable power scopes were fraught with point of impact changes. I have determined that the VX-3 scopes do not change impact after power changes. Glass is clear, seems durable, mounts great. Solid. Turrets move well and smooth. Can't wait to take it though its paces on the next hunting trip. Came with a neoprene cover. Optics planet delivered quickly.

Beautiful scope ... optics are perfect .. Love the Wind Plex Cross-Hairs It mounts easily - I used Redfield low mount for my Rem.7 MM rifle.. Optics Planet was great to work with ... shipping fast and accurate.

Very bright very clear scope . All clicks are positive and movement is predictable and repeatable. Best scope for the money these old eyes have seen . The eye relief is very good ,welcome with 7 mag. Every bit as good as another scope I paid 3 times as much for. Will buy similar for other rifles .

Truly awesome optics . I now have this scope on four of my big game rifles. Perfect combination of magnification and size for most long range big game hunting, without huge scope / objective size. Easily fits into a standard scoped rifle scabbard!

This scope is Not cheap but I think the Best scope you can buy,and the price was the Best I could find !This scope is super super clear ! They say I need to write more so you can mount this scope on your rifle and it will shoot like corn through a goose! I gave my Bar safari this scope because you don't deprive a classy lady of nice jewelry!It has a full lifetime Warranty, and made in the good old USA.

Leupold VX III 4.5 14

Outstanding optics and frankly it would still be a great scope at twice the price. I have another 4.5 x 14 40 CDS on a Remington 700KS in 300 Win mag and I have hunted in extreme conditions with it and it has never let me down. This was my 14th Leupold scope since 1965 and I hope to buy many more.

Wonderful medium range zoom scope

The VX-3 glass is wonderful;clear and bright. The adjustable objective works great for rimfire rifles as you are able to adjust parallax down to 50yds if necessary. Overall extremely happy with this scope. Only feature to change would be the scope cover that Leupold provides; when you pull the cover off the scope it tends to bind on eyepiece and adjust the focus.
Pros: Perfect zoom range for 50-200yds
Cons: Scope cover provided is not equal to scope lens cap
